My name is Ben although I more commonly known as 'Big Dog' hence the LargeK9 bit. I've set up this site with an idea of being more engaged with the internet. Presently I'm using email, facebook and twitter while perusing NBA.com, ESPN.com and the occasional.. welll lets just say educational websites.
Not all of my family uses facebook but they do 'internet' so I also thought that this would be a great way for them to see pics of my baby girl. Her name is Kenadee Brooke Dunn. She was born on the 30th December 2009 at 12.28pm. That was the best moment of my life to date.
I've been married for 3 years and 4 months but whose counting? My wife is Rach. I'm going to set her up as a blogger, so you may see Mrs Dog contributing on here from time to time. I shall point out at this time that she is my first follower. Thank you beautiful. We have been together for 10 years in this coming January. Anyone who can tolerate me for that long deserves a medal. But more to my habits later.
This coming January will also mark the coming of my 30th year on this planet. Dirty 30. Look out Rach! In my 30 years I have seen A LOT. Travelled this fine country Australia, both on holidays and also on various sporting tours. I have been overseas, and not just to Tasmania *boom ching*. I've met drug dealers, lived with drug addicts although never been one myself and managed to resist the temptation despite how glamourous these people may have made it seem. I've been an alter boy (thank god thats over), a paper boy, a check-out dude, a pizza delivery dude and many other sorts of boys, dudes and guys. Went to 7 primary schools and 2 high schools. Tried university. Liked the drinking and partying. Disliked the study and attending lectures. Lived in numerous cities and resided in more houses then I could count let alone remember. Made a lot of friends, some truly great friends and a lot of others in between. Met the love of my life, married her 6 years later. And now here we are.
I have played almost every sport imaginable, including underwater hockey. Its real, believe me. But my favourite sports are basketball, netball and rugby league. And I've had a bit of success with them all. Not enough to make me any money. But I have some nice shirts and jackets and a butt load of great memories and friends.
I think thats enough about me for now. The countdown to 30 is starting now though so I'll keep you all updated on that. And I'll fill you in on Kenadee (or Dee for short) and her progress towards changing the world, one sporting domination at a time.
