Hi again everyone,
Long time no chat! I have been fairly slack with the whole 'Count down to 30' business, and as I sit here I am mere hours away from no longer being in my 20's.
Had the party to end all parties and went out on a high that's for sure. A 'friend' of mine (actually he's a very good mate but he stitched me up deluxe) started having shots of vodka put into my beers. As a result I don't remember a lot of the evening. But in all the photos I'm smiling (or licking people, but that's a whole other blog post there. I'm an affectionate drunk) so I can only assume that I had a good time. And all attendees that I have spoken with said that they all had a good time so that's a WIN in my books.
What else has happened.. hmm.. Kenadee's first birthday and Christmas. All good times and have turned my house into a toy shop. Well a toy shop that you can't buy the toys from, the toys are covered in food and possibly other 'stuff', and its always disorderly and messy. So in all reality nothing like a toy shop outside of the fact that theres lots of toys here. Some are already missing pieces. I swear 1 year olds are the best at hiding things. You will NEVER find it again.
But Little Miss Dee has taken her first steps on Saturday just gone. Thankfully there were a multitude of people occupying our house at the time so Rach and I weren't the only witnesses so we don't feel like over boastful people when we say it happened. She has quietly been taking a few steps everyday, so I'm convinced that it won't be long until I'm chasing her around everywhere. Its been hectic while she's still been crawling. Walking will be a whole new level of terror.
Speaking of kids. My mate Stilgs and his wife Kaylene welcomed their little boy Liam David Stilgoe into the world today. One more day and he would've had a pretty awesome birthday if I do say so myself.
'They' do say that once you have kids time goes quicker than you could ever imagine. And I'd have to agree. One minute I'm a 28yo guy doing my thing, and then the next minute I'm writing a blog about being hours away from turning 30. Its been the quickest 21 months of my life without a doubt. But it has been the most rewarding and fulfilling time of my life as well. I am thankful that I have been a hands on and involved father. Because I have the most beautiful daughter in the world who at 1 is already smart, funny and loving. Its so incredible and I am so lucky that I don't know what I did to get such a beautiful wife and daughter.
Anyway, that's enough for now. Next post will about the tattoo I'm hopefully getting soon. And I'll also post Dee's party and Christmas pics as well as my party pics.
PEACE!
