NHL 11

This isn't a game review, more a fanciful telling of how much I enjoyed playing nhl 11. As per Big Dog's previous blog this game was kindly donated by our good mate Pidgeo.

My experience focused on the Be A Pro mode. I created a "Tough Guy" Defenseman. 6'4" and 232 pounds.

I started out playing in the Memorial Cup playoffs. My goals were largely to get some big hits, take some shots and spend time in the penalty box. Mission accomplished coach! 34 minutes in 5 games.

Because tough guys aren't super valuable I wasn't drafted unbelievably high. Second round to Nashville. But I managed to maintain my spot after pre season so that was a win.

Cut to the chase I finished the season with 334 penalty minutes. I beat the snot out of any dude that chose to check me and Todd Bertuzzi anytime we played Detroit. I hate that guy with a passion so I took it on myself to attempt to crack his spine.

We won the stanley cup too, fantastic animations followed that. Loved watching my guys carry Lord Stanley's cup around. I finished with pretty much every award and am killing it in season 2. 5 games in and I've already got 19 minutes of penalties against Bertuzzi.

The game play, the graphics, the ai and the attention to detail made this game a can't miss. Apparently NHL 12 is better... I may go in to an orgasmic coma!
